(1) Select "Plugins" in the top menu in the administrative area (on right side).

(2) Find "Audio Player" in the list of plugins, and click "Activate" to the right of the item.

edit To configure/customize this plugin:

Select "Settings" in the top menu in the administrative area (on right side); then choose "Audio Player" in the next row down in the menu. You can now customize any of the items below.

edit "Audio player options"

Here you can specify the directory where Audio player will look for audio files. By this default, this is "/audio".

edit "How do you want to use the audio player?"

By default, only the first option ("Replace [audio] syntax") is checked, since this is recommended for beginners. If the other options look appropriate for your purposes, check them off.

edit "Pre and Post appended audio clips"

This is an advanced feature, allowing you to add an introductory or concluding clip before/after audio on your site (most commonly used when podcasting).

edit "Feed options"

This is an advanced feature, allowing you to control how audio files are represented in feeds to other blog pages (most commonly used when podcasting).

edit "Colour scheme"

Here you can control the color of various elements of the audio player, as it appears in posts. Select the element you wish to customize from the drop-down menu (e.g., Background), and then enter the color code in the text box. If you would like the background color to match the background of your blog page, check the "Transparent" box at the bottom of this section. If this step disables the player in FireFox, consult the note that appears right above this box.
